This Savings Goal Calculator finds how much you will need to save each month to reach your goal. The calculator offers default starting values, and includes adjustments for inflation and the rate of return.

To begin, simply fill in the five fields with values. You can use the tab key to quickly progress through each one. When ‘Submit’ is depressed, the time it will take to reach your saving goal appears near the top of the calculator. The latest available inflation rate is always shown on the sidebar of this site, though the default in the calculator is right near the average annual US inflation rate.
